Pedestrian and Motorcyclist Die in Fatal Accident in Fullerton

(Fullerton, CA) A 68-year-old woman walking on the sidewalk and a motorcyclist have died as a result of a tragic high-speed accident that knocked down a telephone pole and caused a gas leak.

On Easter morning, the city of Fullerton experienced a devastating tragedy when an Audi traveling at high speed collided with a Yamaha R6 motorcycle that was struck by a Toyota minivan turning left at an intersection.

Authorities reported that the Yamaha R6 motorcycle struck the minivan’s rear passenger side, where a 74-year-old man and a 15-year-old teenager were both slightly injured and taken to the hospital.

However, the motorcyclist was not as lucky and was thrown from the vehicle, dying while being transported to the hospital. The motorcycle driver was identified as Bryan Tacadena, 34, a resident of Anaheim.

As a result of the collision, the Audi veered off the road, hitting a cyclist and a couple of pedestrians walking on the sidewalk to an Easter event. Maria Antonia Mendez-Ruiz, 68, was declared dead at the scene. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.
