Pedestrian Accident in Vista: Driver Faces Multiple Charges

[Vista, CA] A fatal accident occurred early Sunday morning in Vista, as a pedestrian lost their life in a DUI-related crash. According to the California Highway Patrol, a man was standing outside his Chevrolet in the median on eastbound Highway 78 when he was hit by a Buick Verano driven by Isabella Herrera, age 22, from Oceanside, around 10:20 a.m.

Unfortunately, the pedestrian was unable to survive the injuries sustained from the collision. The victim’s identity has not been released at this time.

Isabella Herrera suffered moderate injuries in the crash but is expected to recover. However, she was arrested on multiple charges, including gross vehicular manslaughter and felony driving under the influence.
