Bakersfield, California (July 2, 2024) – Five years have passed since Alejandro’s family had to say their heartbreaking goodbyes. With grief in their hearts and loving memories, they continue to strive each day to cope with the loss and move forward in a manner that would make Alejandro proud.
For Josie Rosel, saying goodbye to her beloved son was the most excruciating pain a mother can endure. Honoring his memory through meaningful events has been instrumental in her healing process. Last Sunday, June 30th, Josie and her family visited the Bakersfield Homeless Center to fulfill one of Alejandro’s cherished dreams again.
Alejandro Vargas, known for his compassionate, kind, and dedicated spirit, always sought ways to uplift his community. Josie recalls her son’s relentless pursuit of change, desire to help, and mission to inspire others. Feeding those in need was one of his greatest passions, a mission his family and supporters continue to uphold in his name.
The event was scheduled for 5:00 pm, supported by local businesses including King Leo’s Pizza, Alto Nivel, His Touch, and Farahi Law Firm, among others. Their contributions created an atmosphere of solidarity and peace, helping over 250 homeless individuals.
