San Diego County, California – A fatal accident on Interstate 15 in the Deer Springs area, north of San Diego County, resulted in the death of one person and injuries to another.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that the incident occurred around 6:35 a.m. on the northbound I-15 near Deer Springs Road. According to CHP officers, a Chevrolet Silverado and a Ford F-150 collided for reasons that are still unknown.
The Chevrolet Silverado, which was in an unspecified northbound lane, rolled over multiple times after veering off to the right shoulder. Meanwhile, the Ford F-150 spun and came to a stop in the central divider. The driver of the Silverado, a 19-year-old from Murrieta, died at the scene.
A passenger of the same age, who was traveling in the Silverado, was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Ford F-150, a 24-year-old man from Descanso, was uninjured in the accident. CHP authorities stated that neither alcohol nor drugs appeared to be factors in the collision.
