Chula Vista, California – A tragic incident occurred Sunday afternoon on Interstate 5 in Chula Vista, where one person lost his life in a fiery accident, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The incident resulted in traffic diversion on the freeway for several hours as emergency teams worked diligently to clear the scene.
The CHP received multiple calls regarding this single-vehicle accident around 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 24, 2024. Upon arrival, authorities found an overturned and engulfed BMW, adding urgency to the situation.
CHP traffic records indicate that the occupant of the BMW received cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) at the accident site. Tragically, it was later confirmed that this incident had fatal consequences, marking a devastating turn in life-saving efforts.
