Fatal Accident in Long Beach; Pedestrian Fatally Struck

Long Beach, California – Long Beach authorities are currently investigating a devastating accident that claimed the life of a pedestrian near a 7-Eleven establishment on Monday night.

The Long Beach Fire Department responded promptly, arriving at the scene just before 6 p.m., near the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue.

Despite paramedics’ efforts to save the pedestrian, the victim, as yet unidentified, tragically lost his life at the scene.

Shocking images captured by AIR7 HD reveal a vehicle seemingly split in half and another with significant damage. A bus bench, torn from the sidewalk, lies in the parking lot near the 7-Eleven, bearing witness to the violence of the collision.

The driver of one of the involved vehicles was transported to a local hospital with injuries that, according to investigators, do not pose a threat to their life. Meanwhile, the driver of the second vehicle received on-site medical attention.

Two additional vehicle owners reported minor damages to their cars, adding to the complexity of the incident, as reported by the Long Beach police.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation, though law enforcement suggests that speed may have been a determining factor in this tragic event.

At this time, no further details are available regarding the fatal accident in Long Beach.
