A tragic incident occurred this Monday when a driver was found dead after their vehicle plunged off the Santa Susana Pass in Chatsworth. The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) responded to the accident scene and discovered the overturned vehicle off Santa Susana Pass Road, with the driver tragically deceased.

Authorities also located a dog near the vehicle after the Santa Susana accident in Chatsworth. Los Angeles Animal Services responded to the scene to assist the canine, who was fortunately found to be in good condition.
LAFD is conducting a thorough search in the area, and so far, no other individuals affected by the accident have been found. The Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating the circumstances that led to this tragic incident.
Due to the accident, Santa Susana Pass Road remained indefinitely closed in both directions west of Iverson Road and The Church at Rocky Peak.
