[Lancaster County, CA] – A catastrophic crash involving commercial vehicles and an SUV blocked off all lanes on Pennsylvania Route 222 in Lancaster County on Monday, leaving the scene of the accident with injured victims, according to the Manheim Township Police Department.
The accident happened shortly after 2 p.m. Monday in between Eden Road and Landis Valley Road on Rt. 222 South. When officers arrived, they found three automobiles: two commercial vehicles and an SUV with the occupants inside both of the larger vehicles trapped due to serious damage sustained during the crash.
The two drivers, one from each of the commercial vehicles and the SUV, were rescued by the emergency crew and taken to a medical center for treatment of their injuries. The roadway was closed off for several hours as authorities worked to clear the area and investigate what happened prior to the collision.
