Child Dies in Head-On Collision in Riverside, 4 Others Injured

(Riverside, CA) An 8-year-old child died in a tragic head-on collision on Tuesday. Four other people were injured. The collision occurred around 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Arlington and Stover Avenues.

Authorities reported a head-on collision between a gray Nissan sedan and a white Honda sedan, resulting in the death of a child and injuries to four other occupants. Home security footage obtained from KTLA shows the Honda driver losing control and veering into the path of the Nissan, causing a violent impact and scattering debris on the road.

An adult woman and three teenagers were rushed to the hospital with severe injuries, while the 8-year-old child succumbed to serious injuries and died at the scene.

Isabel Cisneros, a neighbor who shared her security footage with the authorities, mentioned that speeding is a serious problem in the neighborhood and that she has been sleeping in her living room for a month since a car crashed into her bedroom wall.

“I saw it all from my work cameras; I was in shock. A girl was lying in the middle of the road,” she told the authorities.
