Woman Dies in Vehicle Collision in Palmdale

Los Angeles, California – A tragic vehicle collision in Palmdale claimed the life of a woman on the westbound lane of State Route 18, specifically west of East Avenue 263. The accident occurred around 11 p.m. on Friday, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

Reports indicate that a 2020 Ram pickup truck was traveling eastbound on State Route 18, while a 2018 Ford was heading westbound. Unfortunately, both vehicles collided, resulting in fatal injuries to the Ford driver, a woman from Lake Balboa approximately 50 years old, according to CHP statements.

The identity of the victim has been withheld by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office, pending notification to her relatives.

On the other hand, the driver of the Ram pickup truck was identified as James Michael Wolfe, 43, a resident of Palmdale. Following the accident, Wolfe was transported to Antelope Valley Medical Center for medical treatment.
