On Tuesday afternoon, a multi-car crash resulted in the tragic deaths of three individuals in Merced County. According to the California Highway Patrol, the Merced Communications Center received numerous calls regarding the crash just after 4 p.m. The multi-car crash in Merced took place along Highway 152 near Hilldale Avenue and involved multiple vehicles.
After a thorough investigation, authorities determined that a 21-year-old man named Aaron Lam from Long Beach was driving his Mercedes E320 east when he suddenly lost control of the vehicle. This caused the car to overturn and roll over to the other side of the road. Unfortunately, it landed on top of a Toyota Tacoma that was traveling west, killing the driver and two passengers inside.
Lam sustained severe injuries and was rushed to Doctor’s Hospital in Modesto via an airlift. Meanwhile, a third car with two people inside was also affected by the crash. Debris from both the Mercedes and the Tacoma hit their vehicle, but thankfully, they escaped unscathed.
The identities of the three individuals in the Toyota Tacoma who lost their lives in the tragic incident have not yet been revealed. Investigations into the exact cause of the crash are still ongoing.
