Speeding Crash in Reseda Damages Parked Cars, Injures Two

Los Angeles, CA – An 18-year-old motorist is suspected of DUI after a speeding crash in Reseda early Wednesday that damaged several parked cars and left two individuals injured. The accident occurred around 2 a.m. on Victory Boulevard, just east of Corbin Avenue.

Investigators report that the vehicle was traveling eastbound at high speed when it crossed the westbound lanes, hitting at least five parked cars before overturning. The driver was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries and is expected to face DUI charges, according to police.

Video footage from the scene captured a man and woman, both believed to be between 18 and 20 years old, receiving medical care. The woman, visibly injured and bloodied, was seen sitting on a stretcher before being transported to an ambulance, while the man walked to an ambulance with assistance from emergency personnel. It remains unclear which of them was driving.

Authorities believe speed and alcohol were both contributing factors in the speeding crash in Reseda. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported, though the impact on parked vehicles was considerable. Law enforcement is working to notify the vehicle owners.

Victory Boulevard was temporarily closed between Corbin Avenue and Belmar Avenue for the investigation.
