Los Angeles County, California – In a series of tragic events, six people lost their lives in separate crashes that occurred overnight in the Antelope Valley. These fatal Pearblossom Highway Accidents occurred within a span of a few hours and less than a mile apart from each other.
One of the tragic accidents occurred right on Pearblossom, at a distance of approximately half a mile from where five individuals lost their lives in a crash near 106th Street East on Sunday night, April 28th, 2024.
A spokesperson for the California Highway Patrol confirmed that one person died at the scene of Monday’s accident, which involved a large truck and a Honda pickup truck.
Investigators maintain the theory that the large truck was stopped on the shoulder when the pickup truck veered out of its lane, colliding with the semi-trailer.
Less than ten hours earlier, two drivers and three passengers lost their lives in a crash that occurred on Sunday night, shortly after 8 p.m.
Emergency services arrived at the scene to find a Toyota overturned in the bushes and a Mitsubishi flipped onto its side on the highway shoulder.
Both drivers and the three passengers traveling in one of the vehicles involved lost their lives in the crash, as reported by a CHP spokesperson.
The ages and genders of the victims have not yet been disclosed.
The fatal accident resulted in a several-hour Sigalert, with lane closures finally lifted around 4 a.m. on Monday.
Authorities continue to investigate the causes behind both crashes, aiming to clarify the events that led to these tragic losses of life.
