Sacramento Car Accident Leaves One Dead, Four Injured

[Sacramento, CA] Early Saturday morning, tragedy struck at the intersection of Stockton Boulevard and Florin Road in south Sacramento.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe was proceeding west on Florin Road when it was hit by a 1994 Nissan Pathfinder that had failed to observe its right of way. Witnesses reported that the Pathfinder had crossed several lanes and then attempted to enter a parking lot. As a result of the collision, one person was killed and four others were injured.

The driver of the Pathfinder died at the scene, according to Metro Fire officials. Four other people were hospitalized with varying degrees of injury. Alcohol is considered to be a factor in the collision, however, an investigation is ongoing to determine the seating positions of passengers at the time of the crash. The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will be releasing an identification of the deceased.

Our thoughts are with those affected by this Sacramento car accident, and we urge everyone to take extra caution when driving to help avoid further tragedies.  Stay safe on the roads.
