[Seal Beach, Orange County, CA] – On Saturday night, a devastating collision occurred in Seal Beach that resulted in the injury of five individuals. The driver responsible for this hit-and-run is yet to be found by authorities; however, footage has been released by the Seal Beach Police Department documenting the moment it happened.

In the video, you can see the hit-and-run suspect wildly driving down Pacific Coast Highway toward Main Street before crashing into an unsuspecting sedan. Orange County Fire Authority Captain Sean Doran reported that five people were able to exit from their vehicle as a result of this harrowing incident.

What the video doesn’t illustrate is what happened next: upon hitting the sedan, the suspect careened into a bus stop and hurriedly drove away. Following this incident, Cade Malley – an eyewitness to the crash – relayed that he heard an ear-piercing screech before seeing two cars collide with one traveling at 100 miles per hour. He promptly dialed 911 while attempting to assist all five passengers in the sedan; they were reportedly left injured with lacerations, one even claiming their hip hurt badly.

After being released from the hospital, two adults are now safe; however, three teens remain in serious but stable condition. Although Kevin O’Rourke witnessed the crash and saw the suspect flee from it without a care for anyone’s life, he disregarded that person and ran to help those involved in the accident instead. His heroic actions demonstrate his commitment to preserving lives over pursuing justice for someone who had no regard for human safety or well-being.
