How Liability Is Assessed After a Fatal Crash
Serious collisions like the Highway 180 fatal crash can raise complex legal questions about responsibility, negligence, and potential claims under California law.
In fatal or injury-related crashes, investigators and attorneys often review:
- Police reports and crash reconstruction findings
- Evidence of impaired or reckless driving
- Vehicle damage and roadway conditions
- Medical documentation of injuries
- Witness statements or surveillance footage
If a driver is suspected of driving under the influence, this evidence may be critical in determining liability.
