Fatal Motorcycle Accident in Yuba City Leaves One Dead

YUBA CITY, Calif. — A fatal motorcycle accident in Yuba City claimed the life of a 62-year-old man after a head-on collision with an SUV Wednesday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the crash occurred around 8:45 a.m. at Highway 99 and Bogue Road. A white Nissan Rogue, driven by 65-year-old Amarjit Singh, turned left into oncoming traffic and struck a Harley Davidson motorcycle head-on.

The motorcyclist, a Live Oak resident, was ejected from the bike and later pronounced dead at the hospital. Singh sustained minor injuries. The Nissan’s turn violated a temporary “no left turn” restriction at the construction-marked intersection.
