San Marcos, California – Two young cyclists were rushed to the hospital last Monday after being struck by a car in San Marcos, according to local authorities.
The incident occurred around 7:14 p.m. at the intersection of Grand Avenue and Linda Vista Drive. The emergency call reporting the accident led deputies from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department to the scene.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the two young individuals were traveling westbound on Grand Avenue on an electric bicycle when they were struck by the vehicle. While the injuries sustained are severe, their lives are not in danger.
