(Los Angeles, CA) The driver of a Tesla X caused a terrible accident that claimed the life of a woman on Sunset Strip. Three people were also injured when their vehicle burst into flames, leaving only debris behind.
The Los Angeles Police Department reported that the fatal crash occurred around 2:30 a.m. on Monday near the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Roxbury Road after a speeding driver lost control of their car, veered off the road, and crashed into a light pole and a palm tree.
The vehicle caught fire and the driver managed to escape with the help of friends who were following the car closely and transported him to the hospital. Witnesses helped rescue the victims who were in the car, two of whom were able to survive, one with severe injuries and in critical condition, while the other was in good condition. One of the passengers, a young woman, was declared dead at the scene.
Authorities are investigating the area to try to find surveillance videos or any evidence that may be useful to the investigation. Sunset Blvd. is currently closed from Crescent Heights Blvd. to Sweetzer Ave.
