Los Angeles, California – A tragic incident in West Hollywood ended in the death of a 68-year-old man following a road rage incident in a convenience store parking lot located in the 7900 block of West Santa Monica Boulevard.
The incident occurred around 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday, starting as a minor traffic collision between two men, which quickly escalated into a violent confrontation.
According to authorities, Armando Gabriel, 68, a resident of Los Angeles, was brutally assaulted by 48-year-old Ramon Casas, a native of Bell Gardens. After the altercation, Gabriel was found unconscious on the sidewalk in front of the store.
Paramedics arrived swiftly at the scene, finding Gabriel in critical condition. Despite their efforts to save him, Gabriel was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was sadly pronounced dead.
Authorities acted promptly, arresting Casas at the scene of the incident. He was subsequently booked on murder charges.
Ramon Casas now faces serious charges for his impulsive and violent actions. He was taken into custody, with bail set at $2 million. Casas is expected to make his first court appearance next Thursday, where his legal situation will be determined.
