Fatal High-Speed Accident in Altadena Leaves Two Dead

Los Angeles County, California – Early Tuesday morning, a tragic accident in Altadena resulted in the deaths of a man and a woman following a high-speed car crash in a residential neighborhood.

The incident occurred around 1 a.m. at the intersection of 64 West Loma Alta and Loma View Drive, where California Highway Patrol officers discovered an overturned vehicle ablaze. Initial investigations reveal the vehicle was traveling at approximately 60 mph in a zone designated for 30 mph, leading to a collision with a parked car and subsequent rollover.

“Speed was unequivocally a contributing factor to the accident,” stated CHP’s Jose Maduena, underscoring the risks associated with excessive speed.

Emergency responders from the Los Angeles County Fire Department were dispatched to the scene to extricate the victims from the fiery wreckage. Despite their efforts, both individuals were pronounced dead at the location.
