1 Dead and 6 Injured in Car Accident in Sacramento

(Sacramento, CA) A collision between two vehicles at the intersection of Franklin Boulevard and Calvin Road on Thursday injured six people and claimed a woman’s life.

The accident occurred when local police identified a stolen car in Elk Grove that was speeding, leading to a pursuit that ended in the suspect crashing into another car at the intersection of Franklin Boulevard, closing both directions between Bassett Way and Adalis Drive.

According to a report from the Sacramento Police Department, a woman died at the scene of the accident, while four other people who were in the vehicle were taken to the hospital. Authorities also reported that a man is in critical condition and two more minors suffered severe injuries, but are currently stable.
