(Tarzana, Los Angeles, CA) A woman was struck and killed in a fatal hit-and-run accident on Tuesday night. Police are currently investigating to locate the negligent driver.
Around 10:40 p.m., Aidin Yousefi, a Good Samaritan who was passing by Reseda Boulevard, noticed the wreckage of the accident and stopped to check on the woman lying on the ground. He immediately alerted the authorities but realized it was too late for the victim.
Upon arriving at the scene, authorities initially interviewed Yousefi as the main suspect until the misunderstanding was cleared, and it was verified that the debris did not come from his car. Initial investigations indicate that the responsible driver was operating a damaged Land Rover, but there is currently no clear description of the driver.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division, the 45-year-old woman was jogging half a mile away from her home when she was struck by the driver.
