[Victorville, CA] A 19-year-old named Abraham Hinojosa-Mercado from Victorville lost his life in a car accident on Saturday night after his vehicle crashed into another car on Hesperia Road. The incident was reported to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies at the Victorville station around 10 p.m. that night, near the intersection of Hesperia Road and Ottawa Street.
When the authorities arrived at the scene, they found Hinojosa-Mercado dead in his car. After conducting an investigation, they discovered that the silver Nissan Sentra driven by Hinojosa-Mercado had lost control while traveling northbound on Hesperia Road, just past the Ottawa Street intersection.
The driver of the other car, 32-year-old Jose Gonzalez from Victorville, stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. As part of the investigation into the Victorville car crash, both north and southbound lanes of Hesperia Road between Green Tree Blvd. and Nisqualli Road were closed for several hours, but have since been reopened.
