In a tragic news story for Anaheim, a person lost their life when a heavy-duty truck rollover crushed a Chevrolet van on State Route 57, according to reports from the California Highway Patrol (CHP). This incident occurred last Thursday night, around 8:30 p.m.
Officers were called to the scene after the truck overturned for unknown reasons and landed on the Chevrolet van in the northbound lanes of State Route 57, near State Route 91.
The incident had a significant impact on traffic on State Route 57 and its vicinity. Authorities had to close several lanes to conduct rescue and cleanup operations. Drivers were urged to seek alternate routes and avoid the area if possible.
Firefighters rescued three people who were inside the vehicle. Unfortunately, one of the rescued victims didn’t survive their injuries, as reported by the CHP. As of now, the deceased victim has not been publicly identified.
