(Ventura County, CA) A teenager died on Tuesday as a result of a horrific intentional crash in Thousand Oaks. The vehicle driven by a stabbing suspect crashed into a group of high school students.
As police were searching for a man who had stabbed two people at the Simi Valley Walmart, they received a report of a hit-and-run accident that left a 14-year-old girl, a 16-year-old girl, and another 15-year-old boy hospitalized with serious injuries. Another 15-year-old boy was declared dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as 24-year-old Austin Eis. Authorities believe that the hit-and-run was intentional, and the suspect is being held in Ventura County jail on a $5 million bond.
According to records reported by authorities, Eis is charged with attempted robbery, resisting arrest, attempted murder, murder, brandishing and exhibiting firearms threateningly, and theft. His court date is currently unknown.
