Tarzana-Encino Four-Car Crash Injures Several Victims

Los Angeles, California – A Tarzana-Encino four-car crash left one person dead and several others injured Sunday evening, according to local authorities. The collision created a dangerous scene for victims, emergency crews, and nearby drivers after a utility pole was knocked down.

Fatal Four-Vehicle Collision Reported on Lindley Avenue in Los Angeles

At about 6:02 p.m. Sunday, Los Angeles Fire Department crews responded to a collision in the 6400 block of Lindley Avenue near the Tarzana-Encino border. First responders found four damaged vehicles and confirmed that one person had died at the scene.

A woman believed to be in her 30s was taken to a nearby hospital, while officials reported that additional people suffered injuries. The number of injured victims and the severity of their conditions have not yet been clarified.

The Tarzana-Encino four-car crash also brought down a utility pole, leaving telephone and power lines across the roadway. LADWP was notified to secure the area while investigators reviewed the circumstances.

How California Injury Claims May Apply After a Multi-Vehicle Crash

After a crash involving several drivers, insurers and investigators may examine whether speeding, distraction, unsafe turning, impairment, or roadway hazards contributed to the harm. California negligence cases may involve shared fault, so responsibility may be apportioned among multiple drivers or parties.

Injured people or surviving families may bring claims when negligence causes injury or death; many personal injury cases generally have a two-year filing deadline, while claims involving government entities can require earlier steps.

  • Preserve medical records, photos, vehicle damage, witness names, and insurance details.
  • Avoid assuming fault before the investigation is complete.
  • Seek prompt medical evaluation, even when symptoms appear later.
  • Ask counsel to review every possible insurance or liability source.
