El Dorado County, California – A tragic incident shook the Pollock Pines area following a fatal accident on Highway 50 last Tuesday.
On Tuesday, May 7, 2024, the El Dorado County Fire Protection District was alerted to an accident on Highway 50 and Outer Limits Road around 11 a.m.
The emergency call came from the driver’s wife, who was notified about her husband’s accident. However, rescue teams had difficulty locating the accident site, provided by the Tesla vehicle.
After an exhaustive search, the car was found about 300 feet away on a hillside north of Highway 50.
The driver, a man approximately 40 years old, was found ejected from his car. Sadly, he suffered blunt trauma and passed away at the scene.
Despite the severity of the accident, it was confirmed that the two child booster seats in the car were empty, as the children were safely at home, according to the man’s wife.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been disclosed. Our thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends.
