At Farahi Law Firm, APC, we think that children are the future of our society. Sadly, with the “new normal” because of the pandemic and the rippling effects, it has had on the way children have access to education, some of them have seen their growth stunted by not having access to the technology required for this new way of schooling through online learning.
In the spirit of giving back to our wonderful community, Farahi Law Firm, APC, partnered with the Consulate General of Honduras in Los Angeles to help families and children in need get the technologies they need for the education they deserve.
Thanks to our friends in the Consulate, we were able to do a giveaway of two brand new HP 22 all-in-one desktop computers. The contest ran from March 1
st to the 12
th, families were able to enter by following the guidelines on the
Consulate Geneal of Honduras’ official Instagram account.
On March 12
th, two wonderful families were picked as winners of the giveaway. Our first winner was
Josias Melendez and her Daughter Stefany:
Stefany is 14 years old and is going through 8
th grade at South East Middle School. After her previous computer started to give her trouble, she was afraid that it would hinder her education. But, with the help of our friends from the consulate we were able to help her continue with her studies.
Congratulations Stefany and the Melendez family, we hope you are happy with the computer and that Stefany can continue her studies!
Our second winner was little Deanne, she is going through 4
th grade at school.
Our friend, the Consul General, Maria Fernanda Rivera delivered the computer to our little winner and her family.
Congratulations to Deanne and her family, we hope you enjoy your new computer for years to come and that it helps you with your studies!
