Santa Barbara County, California – The California Highway Patrol (CHP) in Buellton has confirmed the tragic news of a fatal accident on Santa Rosa Road last Sunday. Two young women, both 23 years old, lost their lives in the incident, while another 22-year-old man is in critical condition and was urgently airlifted to a nearby hospital.
CHP has identified the two women who died in this tragic accident as Cassidy Falk, a resident of Solvang, and Alia Griffin, from Buellton. Additionally, the man fighting for his life in the hospital has been identified as Morgan Bouslaugh, also from Buellton.
According to an official statement from the CHP, it was revealed that Bouslaugh was driving westbound at a speed of approximately 40 mph. At the same time, Falk and Griffin were traveling in the opposite direction, eastbound, at a speed of around 60 mph. For reasons still unknown, both vehicles crossed the double yellow lines and collided head-on in a devastating crash.
The fatal collision on Santa Rosa Road took place around 5:12 p.m., leaving Falk and Griffin with no chance of survival. On the other hand, Bouslaugh was rescued from the wreckage and swiftly transported by helicopter to Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara due to the severe injuries sustained in the impact.
