Three individuals lost their lives in a tragic accident on Highway 65, located in Placer County, California. The collision occurred near Riosa Road, shortly before 9 p.m. last Sunday.
According to the California Highway Patrol report, a 2007 Toyota Camry was traveling southbound on Highway 65 at an unknown speed. Heading northbound on the same highway were a 2022 Kia Sorrento and a 2021 Subaru Forrester.
Unexpectedly, the Toyota veered into the opposite lanes and collided head-on with both the Kia and the Subaru. Sadly, the Toyota’s driver, a 53-year-old woman from Rocklin, lost her life due to the impact. The reason for her vehicle veering into the wrong lanes has not been determined yet.
The driver of the Subaru and the front-right passenger were transported to a hospital, but unfortunately, both succumbed to the severity of their injuries. Additionally, another individual from the Subaru is currently in critical condition at a medical center. The driver of the Kia was taken to a hospital with injuries of moderate severity.
As of now, the authorities have not released the identities of the fatal victims. However, it was reported that the two individuals who lost their lives along with the Toyota’s driver were a 66-year-old woman and a 62-year-old man from Marysville.
