DUI Crash in Arden-Arcade Results in Death, Driver Arrested

Arden-Arcade, California — A suspected DUI crash in Arden-Arcade early Thursday morning resulted in the death of a woman and the arrest of a man, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported.

The collision occurred around 12:30 a.m. at the intersection of Fair Oaks Boulevard and Mission Avenue. CHP officials stated that a Dodge Ram, driven by a man in his 20s heading west on Fair Oaks Boulevard, struck a Chevrolet Camaro traveling south on Mission Avenue. The driver of the Camaro, a woman in her 60s, was fatally injured and died at the scene.

The driver of the Dodge Ram was unharmed and subsequently taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. Investigators continue to examine the circumstances leading to the crash.
