DUI Accident in Fresno County Claims a Life, Injures Several

Fresno County, CA – A tragic incident unfolded in Fresno County on Saturday night when a suspected DUI crash led to one death and multiple injuries. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported to the scene at the intersection of Manning and Hill Avenues near Orange Cove shortly after 11:00 p.m.

According to authorities, a man and a woman were stopped at a sign on Manning Avenue when a 24-year-old man, driving at an unsafe speed, collided with the rear of their vehicle. The impact was severe enough to ignite the stopped car, tragically resulting in the death of the male driver and serious injuries to the female passenger, who was rushed to the hospital for urgent care.

Following the initial collision, the 24-year-old’s vehicle struck a second car containing two individuals who fortunately sustained injuries that were not life-threatening.

The driver responsible for the crash suffered minor injuries and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. CHP also confirmed that three other passengers in his car were hospitalized following the accident.
