Los Angeles County, California – On Thursday, May 9, 2024, a Corvette driver was rescued by firefighters after their car became trapped under the trailer of a semi-truck in Castaic.
The Castaic accident occurred around 12 p.m. on the northbound side of Interstate 5, near Hasley Canyon Road, as reported by the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
Both the Los Angeles County Fire Department and the California Highway Patrol quickly responded to the accident scene.
SkyCAL flew over the accident scene and captured footage of several firefighters working diligently to free the driver from the orange Corvette. The complex rescue operation took approximately 30 minutes before the 77-year-old man was successfully extricated from the wreckage and transported to the nearest hospital.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation by the relevant authorities.
