Alamo, CA – A tragic bicycle accident under the Alamo Overpass on Wednesday morning claimed the life of a female cyclist. The collision occurred on Livorna Road near the Interstate 680 overpass, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
CHP reports that the accident happened around 11:12 a.m. when the cyclist, traveling westbound on Livorna Road, was struck by a black Toyota bZ3X. The male driver of the vehicle had been parked along the right shoulder and pulled into the roadway, colliding with the oncoming cyclist. Despite the quick response from emergency crews, the cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
