54-Year-Old Woman Injured in Riverside Pedestrian Accident

Riverside, California — A 54-year-old woman from Corona suffered life-threatening injuries after being hit by a vehicle while crossing a Riverside intersection Thursday morning.

The accident occurred shortly before 8 a.m. at the intersection of Eucalyptus and University Avenues near downtown Riverside. Authorities reported that the woman was in the crosswalk when a southbound Honda Civic, making a left turn onto University Avenue, struck her.

The driver, a 29-year-old Riverside resident, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. The Riverside Fire Department paramedics responded quickly, providing emergency care before transporting the injured pedestrian to Riverside Community Hospital. She remains hospitalized in critical condition.

The investigation is ongoing, with no arrests reported, and the driver’s name has not been released. Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the Riverside pedestrian accident to contact the Major Accident Investigation Team at 951-826-8720.
